Wife: Amy, My rock and keeps our house ticking. A female footballer for Crystal Palace ladies youth team in her hey day.

Daughter: Ella, my little pocket rocket. 2.5 years old going on 18. Future Athlete for sure.

Son: Alfie “Boy”, Too young to know whats going on but I hope he loves sport as much as I do.

RUGBY

Where it all began……

My Journey started as a toddler. Picking up my first rugby ball aged 2, I joined Effingham and Leatherhead Mini’s where I spent the first 10 years developing my skills. If there was a ball, bat, racket or it had wheels I was into it.

Rugby soon became my biggest love and I went on to represent the County, Midlands, England U16 and signed for Worcester Warriors as a 18 year old fresh out of school.

Rugby taught me many life skills and I was priviledged to have played the sport. It’s also been the foundation of my fitness knowledge and passion but was sadly cut short by injury. 4 ACL reconstructions, a lot of rehabilitation and years missing out on sport was particularly tough. But, while one door closes many others open.

RUNNING

I’m not built like your average runner but……

I started running in Lockdown. It was part of my desire to finally get fit again after piling on some weight post rugby. I ran pretty much every day in Lockdown (When allowed) and even managed to PB my 5K, 10K and Half Marathon Times. I have since dabbled in 2 marathons, London & Brighton but we wont talk about those.

Running proved to be a game changer and between that and a very strict diet I know its possible to get fit again.

CYCLING

All the gear with no idea….

Another lockdown hobby. I worked for a Triathlon company and everyone cycled so I got myself a bike and enjoyed the vehicle free roads during the pandemic to hone my cycling skills. I enjoy cycling on the roads, mountain biking in the forest and exploring many of the best coffee and breakfast stops surrey has to offer.

Getting strong again….

I’ve always loved the gym. Rugby was heavily gym orientated and we spent hours training. I love lifting weights. It’s not only great for my mental health and stress but its fun. It also keeps me strong for everyday life. I have hit more PB’s in my 30’s than any other time in my life. Its never to late to start getting strong.

To summarise……

In order for Fitness to become an engrained habit you’ve got to learn to love it. Enjoyment, motivation and results are going to be the key to long-term habitual change. I can guarantee training with me will be fun first, bespoke to your needs and we will achieve results.

Im in love…..

I only started CrossFit 3 years ago in 2022 but I cant get enough of it. Training at Motion in Surbiton is honestly the best. The coaching, community and competition drives me to train harder and improve every day. I have since started competing again in both team and individual competitions. Its the first time I have been competitive since I stopped playing rugby.
